Overview of Standard, Print & Sublimation, and Professional plans, features, pricing, and how to choose the right plan

Understanding Your Subscription Options

Understanding your subscription options helps you choose the right plan for your business and get the most value from The Mockup Factory plugin. This section explains the differences between Standard, Print & Sublimation, and Professional plans, what features are included, and how to choose the right plan for your needs.

Why Print Effects Matter

The Problem with Generic Mockups:

  • Print colors appear different on various substrates
  • Customers expect the product to match the listing photo
  • Unrealistic mockups lead to disappointed customers and returns

The Print & Sublimation Solution:

  • Print effects adjust colors and opacity to match how ink interacts with each substrate
  • Mockups accurately represent the finished product
  • Customers know exactly what they're getting
  • Fewer returns, higher satisfaction, better reviews

Best For

  • UV printing businesses
  • Sublimation printing businesses
  • Personalized gift makers using print methods
  • Businesses where print color accuracy is important
  • Etsy sellers, e-commerce stores selling printed products

Example Use Cases

  • UV-printed products (phone cases, wooden signs, ceramic tiles)
  • Sublimation products (mugs, mouse pads, photo panels, coasters)
  • Printed ornaments and decorations
  • Any printed product where substrate affects the final color appearance

  • ✅ Realistic engraved mockups – Mockups that show authentic depth, burn marks, and material texture

  • ✅ Professional quality – Build customer trust with accurate product representations

Why Engraving Effects Matter

The Problem with Flat Mockups:

  • Flat designs don't show how engraving actually looks on wood, slate, or glass

  • Unrealistic mockups lead to disappointed customers and returns

The Professional Solution:

  • Engraving effects show realistic depth, burn marks, and material texture

  • Customer trust and accurate product representation are important
  • You sell printed products on Etsy, Shopify, or other platforms

Choose Professional Plan If:

  • You create engraved products (laser, rotary, etc.)

  • You're serious about professional-quality product listings
  • You sell on Etsy, Shopify, or other platforms where mockup quality matters

Decision Framework

Ask yourself:

  1. What production method do I use?

    • Laser engraving, rotary engraving → Professional
    • UV printing, sublimation only → Print & Sublimation
    • Both engraving AND printing → Professional
    • Digital printing, screen printing → Standard (or higher for advanced effects)
  2. How important is mockup accuracy?

    • Critical (Etsy, e-commerce, high-value products) → Print & Sublimation or Professional
    • Less critical (testing, internal use) → Standard
  3. What's my budget?

    • Tight budget, just starting → Standard (upgrade later)
    • Ready to invest in print quality → Print & Sublimation
    • Need the full package → Professional
  4. What do my competitors use?

    • Generic mockups → Any paid plan gives you a competitive edge
    • Professional mockups → Match or exceed with Print & Sublimation or Professional

Understanding Processing Types

What Are Processing Types?

Processing Types are the realistic effects applied to your designs to simulate how they'll look on different materials and with different production methods.

  • Standard Plan: In the Processing Types drop down menu, you will only be able to select No Effects (Design Placement Only)
  • Print & Sublimation Plan: Print effects are unlocked (UV Print, Sublimation)
  • Professional Plan: All Processing Types are unlocked, including all engraving effects

Available Processing Types

Print Effects (Print & Sublimation and Professional):

  • UV Print on White (vibrant colors on white substrates)
  • UV Print on Wood 1 (lighter wood tones)
  • UV Print on Wood 2 (darker wood tones)
  • Sublimation (color transfer effects with high vibrancy)
  • Additional print methods (check plugin for full list)

Engraving Effects (Professional Only):

  • Wood Engraving (multiple settings for different depths and burn intensities)
  • Slate Engraving (etched stone effects with varying depths)
  • Glass Engraving (frosted glass effects with highlights)
  • Leather Engraving
  • Metal Engraving
  • Additional substrates (check plugin for full list)

No Processing: Available on all plans. Places designs flat without any effects.

How Processing Types Work

  • Select your PSD templates and PNG designs
  • Choose the Processing Type that matches your production method
  • The plugin applies realistic effects automatically
  • Output mockups show exactly how the finished product will look

💡 Pro Tip: Processing Types are numbered (e.g., Wood Engraving 1, 2, 3) because every laser or printer has different settings. Test multiple options to find which best matches your actual equipment output and substrate combination.
